Private donors

Private donors account for nearly a third of our funding. In return for their generous support, we provide periodic reports discussing progress and problems. We also organise trips to the field so donors can see first-hand how their support is transforming lives

Testimonials

"Your work is amazing and incredibly impactful. I wish all our partners were as stellar as Hand in Hand India."
Matt Damon | Co-founder | water.org
“Hand in Hand transforms individual's lives, children's futures and local communities at large. A truly outstanding organization. Now this exciting journey starts in Tanzania.”
Ane M.M. Uggla
"Village donations build a confidence that goes both ways: the villagers know that my support will last for two years – and personally, I hope to stay in touch for as long as I live. As the donor, I know that the programme will really make people in the village self-sufficient. When they learn to manage money and run a business, they can help themselves, even when my financial support ends." Ulla Zachrisson | Hand in Hand supporter
"If I was given 10 million Swedish Crowns and had to to spend them straight away, (...) I would donate 7 million to Hand in Hand, provided they were managed by Percy Barnevik." Hans Dalborg | Honorary CEO | Nordea Bank
"My decision to support Hand in Hand was inspired by its unremitting focus on creating businesses and jobs and the multiplier effect this has on the aspirations, the wellbeing, the future of families and of entire communities." Martin Wiwen-Nilsson | Hand in Hand supporter
“Hand in Hand does not give away freebies – no money, no goats, no food. What it does do is give people the skills they need to work, start a business and earn money. Self-help is the best help and Hand in Hand is impressive in how they facilitate this for so many.” Henrik Ehrnrooth | President & CEO of KONE Corporation
