Hand in Hand Network
We believe local communities hold the keys to their own economic transformation. Our operating model is based on a strategic collaboration between expert practitioners in low and middle-income countries, and fundraisers in high-income countries.
Hand in Hand’s programmes are designed and implemented by network partners in Afghanistan, India, East Africa (Kenya and Tanzania) and Zimbabwe. Network partners in the UK (Hand in Hand International), Sweden, Germany and the US provide technical support and fundraising.
India
Hand in Hand India is the oldest and biggest network member. The operation is run by Chairperson Dr Kalpana Sankar.

Hand in Hand Afghanistan operates mainly within the country’s north. The office is run by Country Director Dr Kamran Hekmati

Eastern Africa
Hand in Hand Eastern Africa launched in 2010. Run by CEO Albert Wambugu, the operation has programmes in Kenya and Tanzania.
