Leave a legacy
By leaving a gift in your will you’ll be helping some of the world’s poorest people, mainly women, gain the skills they need to work their way out of poverty – for good, without relying on handouts. But your contribution won’t stop there. Hand in Hand’s members spend the money they earn on their children’s health and education. With full stomachs and inquiring minds, the sky is the limit for future generations. And so the cycle continues.
Why leave a gift to Hand in Hand?
Leaving a gift in your Will is a wonderful way to continue to support the causes you are passionate about in your lifetime, creating a lasting legacy.
We promise to use your gift wisely and effectively. Any gift left to Hand in Hand will help some of the world’s poorest women gain the skills they need to work their way out of poverty, transforming whole communities.
How can I leave Hand in Hand a gift in my Will?
Making a will and keeping it up to date is important. We suggest you seek legal advice when drawing up or making amendments to an existing will. A solicitor or member of the Institute of Professional Will Writers will be able to provide the best advice on the correct wording.
What kinds of gifts can I leave in my Will?
There are different ways you can leave Hand in Hand a gift in your Will:
- Pecuniary gifts: are specified sums of money or a percentage of the residue estate.
- Specific gifts: are items such as stocks and shares, a property, paintings, jewelry.
- Residual gifts: are made up of what is left of the estate, or part of the remaining
What if I already have a Will?
You don’t have to rewrite your whole Will if you decide to leave a gift to us. Your solicitor can add a codicil to your Will that lists all the changes you wish to make to your original Will.
