Jen Glyn

Jen has 16 years’ communications and marketing experience in the not-for-profit sector. She has worked for environmental causes, in international development, and for mental health and disability charities.

Before joining Hand in Hand, Jen was Communications Manager at FareShare, the UK’s largest food charity, leading on external communications, press and public affairs.

Nick Lynch Staunton

Nick first began working in the international development and humanitarian sector in 2008. He has worked in Jordan, Madagascar and London-based headquarters for CAFOD, SEED Madagascar, Jordanian Health Aid Society, and UNHCR. Prior to joining Hand in Hand International in January 2022, he coordinated a multi-country, FCDO-funded malnutrition programme that reached 300,000 people. Nick is passionate about using evidence and adaptive management principles to ensure the delivery of high quality programmes that maximise impact for people and communities.

Nick has Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy (first class) and a Master’s in International Development (merit), both from the University of Manchester.

Charlie Strawa

Charlie has worked in the not-for-profit sector for nine years, building strategic relationships with individuals and organisations to meet their philanthropic objectives and drive societal change. Before joining Hand in Hand to work towards tackling poverty through job creation, Charlie supported donors to contribute towards housing, criminal justice and social welfare causes.

Isabel Creixell

With 10 years’ experience working in gender, poverty, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion and more, Isabel’s career has spanned international donors, academic institutions, government agencies and NGOs. Prior to joining Hand in Hand she work for an organization helping women entrepreneurs from marginalised backgrounds in Mexico launch business and lift their families out of poverty. Isabel holds an MA in International Affairs from Columbia University.

Amalia Johnsson

Amalia has worked in international development for more than 12 years, specialising in financial inclusion and supporting rural livelihoods. Prior to joining Hand in Hand, she was Head of Financial Sector Development at Nathan Associates, overseeing the organisation’s portfolio of financial sector focused work. Amalia has worked with and advised a range of institutional and corporate donors, including DFID, SIDA, FSDA, Access to Finance Rwanda, Mastercard Foundation, Barclays, and Deutsche Bank. She also worked at Plan International UK, and spent several years at the OECD and in the UK financial industry. She has a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University and a Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge.

Stephanie Nicholson

Stephanie joined Hand in Hand International in September 2017 as Programme Finance and Analysis Manager. Previously, she worked as a Management Consultant at Accenture, with a focus on financial management for global cost reduction and organisational change programmes. Whilst at Accenture, Stephanie also spent time working in the London Innovation Centre and in the non-profit sector with Accenture Development Partnerships. Prior to joining Accenture, she worked in the public sector on a large-scale change programme for the NHS.

Stephanie has a First Class Honours degree from King’s College London and speaks French and German.

Ann Dickinson

Ann has worked in marketing for 20 years. Before joining Hand in Hand in 2008 she set up and managed the PR department for national charity 4Children, which provides support and learning to children aged 0 to 19. She began her career in the fast-moving consumer goods sector working with with some of the UK’s biggest brands.

Lena Hörberg

This is Lena’s first role in the not-for-profit sector. Before joining Hand in Hand she headed up PR and marketing in a small luxury interior design company. Lena is a multilingual professional educated at the International School of Brussels, the University of La Sorbonne in Paris and Lund University, Sweden. She has used her language skills to handle consular matters at the Swedish Embassy in London and to support the build-up and expansion of IKEA in the UK. She also worked in investment banking at the Swiss Bank Corporation, now merged with UBS.

Dorothea Arndt

Passionate about entrepreneurship, Dorothea began her career as Marketing Director at start-up Kelkoo, playing a key part in making the platform Europe’s leading shopping search engine. Before joining Hand in Hand International, she managed sales and communications teams at companies including Yahoo, Shell and PwC, and transitioned to not-for profit at the British Red Cross. She joined Hand in Hand in 2013.
