Stuart Coupe

Monitoring and Evaluation Manager

Stuart completed a DPhil in Commonwealth History at the University of Oxford in 1994 and started his career as a lecturer in economic history. He entered the international development profession as a researcher, publishing on a range of topics and methods. He worked 12 years for Practical Action advising on the implementation of projects funded by, among others, DFID, EU, Comic Relief, and Big Lottery, followed by three years as an independent consultant, conducting evaluations and impact studies. Stuart has an extensive track record of inter-disciplinary collaborations in Eastern and Southern Africa, South Asia and the Andean Region.

Stuart is co-chair of the Bond Working Group on Decent Work and Jobs; a Steering Committee Member of the APPG on Agriculture and Food for Development; and a member of the Financial Inclusion Forum.
